Popular crisp flavour recalled as warning issued to customers

Must read

Asda has issued a recall for its ASDA Extra Special Sea Salt and Chardonnay Wine Vinegar Hand Cooked Crisps due to an undeclared allergen. The crisps, which are sold in 150g bags, have been mistakenly packaged with Cheese and Onion Crisps, which contain milk – an ingredient not listed on the label.

This poses a potential health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents. Customers who have purchased the product are advised not to consume it and to return it to their nearest Asda store for a full refund, regardless of whether they have a receipt.

For further information, customers can contact Asda Customer Relations on 0800 952 0101.

On occasion, a food product may present an issue that renders it unfit for sale. In such cases, the product may be ‘withdrawn’ (removed from shelves) or ‘recalled’ (customers are requested to return the product).

Foods may need to be withdrawn or recalled if they pose a risk to consumers due to missing or incorrect allergy labelling, or any other food allergy risk. When a food allergy risk is identified, the FSA will issue an Allergy Alert, reports Kent Live.
