A former bridal studio in a sought-after Derby suburb is set to go under the hammer more than a year after closing its doors for the final time. The retail unit at 125 Blenheim Drive in Allestree will be auctioned later this month after Lori G Bridal Studio shut shop back in April 2023.
Agents say the property is fit for a variety of uses and also includes two self-contained residential apartments above what used to be the bridal store. It is located within a selection of three commercial properties including a hair salon and a convenience store.
The store launched a closing down sale prior to its closure following an announcement on Lori G’s Facebook page, much to the sadness of its loyal customers. One customer wrote: “You two wonderful ladies gave the very best service right up until the end. All Lori G brides will have only the best to say about you both.”

Another fan of the store commented: “Wishing you both lots of health and happiness in your retirement.. enjoy it to the max. Thank you for everything you did for my daughter and myself! The best wedding dress shopping/fittings etc experiences ever!”
A statement from SDL Property Auctions reads: “The ground floor comprises an attractive front retail area with a double window shop frontage, along with a partitioned storage room, kitchen and a toilet to the rear. The first floor residential accommodation can be accessed separately with both flats currently let at £405 pcm and £475 pcm respectively.”
Allestree is a sought-after suburban area to the north of Derby with a wide range of shops including at Park Farm Shopping Centre, which is just a short drive from the property. The studio will go to auction on Thursday, June 27, with a guide price of £295,000.
