Police have found that no crime took place at a Reginald D Hunter comedy gig after a report of a hate incident at his Edinburgh Fringe show.
The comedian was accused of mocking an Israeli couple in the audience and asked them to leave after they objected to a joke comparing Israel to an abusive spouse.
Eastwood Theatre in Giffnock, which was not the venue where the incident took place, announced on Friday that it would not go ahead with Hunter’s September show. It has removed the listing from its website.
On Thursday, Hunter, 55, said he regretted an “unfortunate incident” at his Fluffy Fluffy Beavers Fringe show at the Assembly George Square Studios.
