The actor, who played Demelza on the BBC historical drama, shared the happy news via Instagram, posting a sweet photo of a baby vest with the words ‘Baby Owen’ printed onto it.

Fans and famous friends were quick to share their congratulations in the post’s comments section, including Strictly Come Dancing winner Rose Ayling-Ellis, who wrote: “Congratulations!”

Tomlinson’s The Couple Next Door co-star Jessica De Gouw commented: “Giddy with excitement,” while Outlander actor Nell Hudson added: “Ahhhh congratulations darling!”

Tomlinson and Owen, who is a rugby player, tied the knot in 2022 at Euridge Manor in the Cotswolds.

Tomlinson shared some stunning photos from the big day on Instagram at the time, with the caption: “When a Miss becomes a Mrs. I love you. The best weekend of our lives.”

While she’s perhaps best known for her role in Poldark, Tomlinson appeared in Netflix‘s hit adaptation of One Day earlier this year, and starred opposite Outlander‘s Sam Heughan in Channel 4’s The Couple Next Door last year.

Her most recent role was in the third season of BBC comedy The Outlaws, in which she stars alongside Stephen Merchant, Baby Reindeer‘s Jessica Gunning and Christopher Walken.

Following season three’s release in June, Merchant – who also created the show –weighed in on whether it could return for a fourth season.

“Never say never,” he teased. “Once you’ve finished a show, you’re so exhausted that the idea of thinking how would you bring them all back seems quite overwhelming, but we’ve shown we can do it.”
