Plus-sized influencer Edgar Landaverde has died aged just 37, his family confirmed on Instagram to his 82,900 followers.
‘It is a painful truth for the family, but we are making it public to all media: our beloved Callejas 503 has left this world,’ his family commented.Â
‘We thank each one of you for the love and support you have shown him.’Â
His family also asked his followers to join them for a memorial in a separate post.Â
News of his sudden death shocked followers, as he had no known illnesses.Â

Edgar was better known online as Callejas 503. He had 82,900 Instagram followers and around 178,000 YouTube subscribers
Landaverde’s cause of death has not been revealed, but some of his followers were quick to speculate.Â
One Instagram user commented: ‘Unfortunately, Callejitas never worried about his health’, implying that his passing was due to the lifestyle he had.Â
Another follower said that ‘he seemed unwell’ in his latest videos. Â
The influencer was better known online as Callejas 503. He was from El Salvador, and was primarily a YouTuber. Â

Landaverde was buried on Saturday in Santa Tecla, El Salvador
 ‘We will miss you in our homes, Callejas. You were part of our lives without even knowing you. Thank you for brightening our lives. God keep you in his arms and find peace now in eternal rest’, one Instagram user wrote. Â

In one of his videos, he complained about how social media influencers weren’t valued in his home country.

Some social media go-ers were quick to speculate on the YouTuber’s cause of death. One comment read that he ‘never worried about his health’, implying that his passing was due to the lifestyle he had
Landaverde’s last YouTube video was posted in May
 He said: ‘I really appreciate it when brands or people value my work because here in my country, El Salvador, brands don’t support content creators.
‘They prefer to pay a fortune to be on TV, even though we could probably give them better publicity.
‘Maybe not in terms of quantity, but our advertising is effective and we have our reach.
‘Most companies try to pay you with barter deals and are reluctant to invest in you, while they spend big money elsewhere, on radio and TV.
‘But who watches TV or listens to the radio anymore? Everything is online now.’
The influencer’s last post on Instagram was a video of him talking to the camera about his motorbike to followers on April 24.Â
His last YouTube video was uploaded last month. In the vlog, Landaverde filmed his lunch outing with some friends in a food market in Santa Tecla.
