Millions of gamers have been left fuming after the PlayStation Network suffered a major global outage.
The network has reportedly been down for most of Tuesday with complaints rolling in since 10am.
A warning message is currently showing up on the PlayStation Network website, Account Management, PlayStation Store and Gaming and Social pages.
‘You might have difficulty launching games, apps or network features. We’re working to resolve the issue as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience,’ it reads.
‘You might have difficulty signing in or creating an account for PlayStation Network. We’re working to resolve the issue as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.’
Account holders are unable to sign in on the PS5, PS4, PS Vita and PS3.
Tens of thousands of Australian gamers have been impacted by the outage.
Social media users have vented their frustration on X with many questioning when the network will be up and running again.

‘PlayStation Network being down and not letting you play the games you paid for is a reminder that you don’t “own” anything digitally,’ one wrote.
‘Anything that needs to “verify your license” has sold you nothing, profited, and still gets to determine your access to it.’
Another added: ‘Pretending that I don’t care the playstation servers are down so they get fixed faster.’
No timeframe has been provided on when the network will be back up with the silence further irritating gamers.
‘What in the hell are you doing PlayStation? Your servers are down,’ one gamer wrote.
‘PlayStation servers been down for hours now and no update about it crazy,’ another added.
The PlayStation Network has 110million registered users and more than 103million active users monthly.
The outage has come as school holidays kick off across Australia – with students in every state and territory besides Queensland taking a break from studies.
