Phillip Schofield’s brutal text to Holly Willoughby revealed

Must read

It’s been over a year since Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby’s nearly 15-year-long friendship came to a screeching halt.

Now, the brutal four-word text that’s said to have ‘ended their relationship’ once and for all has been revealed. The 62-year-old is alleged to have texted his former pal: ‘You brought me down’.

Friends of Phillip claim he sent her the message via WhatsApp and said Holly should’ve supported him publicly. He’s thought to have blamed his having to stand down from This Morning on her not doing so.

The alleged message, revealed to the Daily Mirror after Phillip’s TV comeback, has reignited his feud with his former best friend and colleague Holly.

Holly is also said to have been unaware of the full details of Phillip’s brother Timothy’s child sex offences, which was another contributing factor to their fallout. Though she and ITV were aware of his trial, it’s understood Phillip didn’t reveal the full extent of his brother’s actions.

An insider said: ‘You can see what Phil is doing, he is angry and he is taking his moment in the limelight, slinging more mud while people are interested in him.’

‘Phil’s career ended because he lied, he resigned from ITV when he lied about having an affair with a much younger colleague. To say this is Holly’s fault is just ridiculous. Talk about blame the woman.’

Rumours of a ‘feud’ between Phillip and Holly began to swirl in May 2023, and soon after the former announced his departure from This Morning with ‘immediate effect’ after 21 years at the helm.

Just days after his shock departure on May 20, Phillip admitted to having an affair with a younger male colleague which he described as ‘unwise, but not illegal’ at the time.

Phillip’s affair admission led him to part ways with both ITV and his agents of 35 years YMU. Holly later said it had been ‘hurtful’ to find out her former pal had lied to her about the situation.

The 62-year-old subsequently stepped away from the limelight; however, he made his TV comeback last month with a show called Cast Away in which he took aim to at those ‘who betrayed him’.

Phillip blamed his fall from grace on three of his former colleagues, sensationally saying: ‘I think there are only three s**ts [of showbiz].’

He said there was a ‘coward who never stepped up in Queuegate,’ while another ‘is a coward because they never stepped up when I was being battered’. He then claimed the third ‘is just brand-orientated’, adding: ‘Not what you expect, not what you think you’re going to get.’
