The season 7 casting announcement was shared on Netflix UK & Ireland’s official X account as part of their #GeekedWeek reveals.

The streaming service shared a video clip of a computer screen displaying the cast names as part of a computer code software update.

Season 7 will also see a follow-up to a former season 4 episode titled ‘USS Callister’. The episode in question starred Jesse Plemons and Michaela Coel, plus Jimmi Simpson and Cristin Milioti of The Penguin fame. The latter two are confirmed to return in the seventh season.

Other stars set to appear in the forthcoming instalment include Citadel’s Osy Ikhile, Road House actor Billy Magnussen and Paul G. Raymond of Horrible Histories fame, plus Milanka Brooks, Patsy Ferran, Lewis Gribben, Siena Kelly and Rosy McEwen.

Whilst the full ensemble cast list has been shared, the streaming service hasn’t confirmed details of their roles but did reveal that Black Mirror season 7 is currently in production.

Talking to Deadline last month, show creator Brooker teased that one of the episodes from the upcoming season is set to be the “bleakest” one yet.

“I wrote one script, and the general consensus was that it was one of the bleakest, heaviest gut punches yet,” he told the publication. “There’s also techy episodes and ones that are making people cry. So, hopefully, it’s a full emotional workout, but we shall see. The viewers will be the judge.”

Black Mirror season 7 will return to Netflix in 2025.
