G&H Group, a Leeds-based mechanical, electrical and public health service (MEP) provider, has made eight new appointments to its team due to sustained growth.
To further expand its growing Projects division which delivers independent MEP services for schemes typically valued between £50,000 and £1m, G&H Group has recruited James Hutchinson as head of solar to build its solar photovoltaic (PV) team.
Previously operations director for Radius Charge where he was responsible for all project delivery and installation of renewable infrastructure, he has over 20 years’ experience in the electrical engineering sector with 12 years in renewables.
Joining him in G&H Group’s Projects division as mechanical supervisor is 40-year industry veteran, Nick Mundy.
G&H Group’s Projects division has extensive experience delivering projects for education facilities such as schools, colleges and multi-academy trusts and Mundy will support with work sequence strategy, materials management, and safe methods of working.
The group’s Building Services division has made six new appointments to support the complex, large-scale new build and retrofit schemes in which it specialises.
Daniel Gowland joins from JLM M&E as mechanical project manager, leading on projects including Harrogate College, Pudsey Sixth Form and Leeds City Town Hall.
With a career spanning 30 years, most recently at JLM M&E, Darren Hartley joins as electrical estimator for project estimation and delivery.
Mohammad Choudhary arrives from Waites Mechanical Services as project engineer. In this integral role, he will be creating programme schedules, forecasting project costs, producing technical submittals, forecasting labour, and managing site labour as well as procuring materials.
Reporting to Building Services (South) operations manager, Paul Cuss, Gearoid McCool, Peter Violet, and Trevor Archer join as senior contracts manager, senior technical services manager, and project manager respectively.

Shipley Towns Fund Board has taken on four new members
The board, which is in charge of a £25m plan to regenerate Shipley, is made up of volunteer representatives from local businesses as well as charitable and voluntary organisations, with support from Bradford Council which includes managing and delivering projects.
The newly-recruited members will use their skills and knowledge to oversee Government-funded local projects, including the rejuvenation of Shipley Market as well as creation of Shipley Sustainable Community Hub and the Shipley Health and Well-being Centre.
New board members are lead mentor of the British Design Fund, product designer and entrepreneur Adam Sutcliffe, founder of the Strategic Disability Partnership and Shipley resident Alec Porter, director of Kynd, co-chair of South Square and facilitator at Bradford Death Café Nicola Murray, and the managing director of Flight & Cox Financial Solutions Ltd Scot Flight.
Bradford Council’s portfolio holder for regeneration, transport and planning, Alex Ross-Shaw, said: “The Shipley Towns Fund board is successfully delivering some excellent work.
“These are significant regeneration projects which will shape the Shipley area and have a positive impact on the people who live here for generations to come.”

Hessle-based Good Travel Management (GTM) has confirmed the growth and enhancement of its Groups and Events division.
It has taken on two more staff, a new leadership team, and expanded its service offerings.
Good Travel Management’s director, Kevin Harrison is now working alongside groups and events manager, Ian Cutts.
Nakeisha Barber-Kelly and Amelia Hawkins have been recruited as sales support executives.
Harrison said: “It’s a positive endorsement for the growing demand to bring people together in larger numbers that we continue to invest and expand our services from our specialist Groups and Events division.
“Bringing together our experience in Exhibition Travel, Trade Missions and Group Travel projects, we now see a high demand for more specialist group travel such as incentives and purposeful travel, alongside our developing UK meetings, conferencing and group travel department, which is supported by our partnership with Trinity Edge Solutions.
“I’m pleased to see the team strengthened by two excellent young people, Amelia and Nakeisha, who have combined their studies at university with direct experience in the hotel and travel sectors.”

Fulcrum, a Sheffield-based multi-utility infrastructure and services provider, has further strengthened its management team by promoting Lee Windsor to head of operations.
His promotion marks a significant milestone in his career, which he began at May Gurney in 2007 as a trainee site manager following the completion of his engineering qualifications and training.
During the early part of his career, he operated on a wide variety of projects. Having worked across the UK, he returned home to the North West in 2018, where he joined Fulcrum as a project engineer, overseeing delivery of multi-utility projects across the region.
He was promoted to operations manager, and has now been appointed head of operations, leading delivery of projects, nationally.
In his new role, where he will lead a team of more than 100 experts, he will also oversee the planning, design, and co-ordination of multi-utility projects, which range from Industrial & Commercial developments to residential schemes of all sizes.
Windsor said: “I am excited to now lead our talented operational team and drive Fulcrum’s ongoing growth in the multi-utility sector.
“This new position will allow me to further demonstrate my commitment to ensuring operational excellence across our projects, which is a fundamental part of the high levels of service we provide to our customers.”
