Paul Mescal has tweaked his signature style by trading GAA gear for Gucci boxer-style shorts at Milan Fashion Week.
The Normal People star adopted an urbane and worldly look as he arrived at Gucci Men’s Spring Summer 2025 Fashion Show on Monday.
The 28-year-old Irish actor, who was capitalising on some respite from a busy filming schedule of Ridley Scott’s Gladiator II, was pictured alongside tennis stars and twins Venus and Serena Williams.
Mescal is set to play the leading role in Gladiator II and was pictured for the first time last week sporting a full suit of armour with a bloodied face on set.
It is a follow on story from the film where Russel Crowe, who won an Oscar for his performance, was the star when he played Roman general Maximus Decimus Meridius.
However, the Irish star was seen in Milan sporting a light blue shirt with two buttons undone from the signature Italian fashion brand, which replaced a bronze Roman chestplate for the evening.
A pair of Gucci Horsebit loafers and white socks took the place of feet-exposing sweat-soaked gladiatorial sandals.
Topping off the elegant vesture and brining him into the modern day was his favourite pair of black sunglasses.
And last of all, a man is nothing without his timepiece.
For the Maynooth native this was a Cartier Tank Square Incurvée, which is an ultra-rare version of the classic Tank with a tonneau case, rounded corners, and a clean white dial, first introduced in the 1960s.
Gladiator II which is being filmed across Morocco, Malta and the UK will be released on November 22.
