Must read

The team at Parallel 42 seems very enthusiastic about their SimFX add-on utility for Microsoft Flight Simulator, which adds a series of impressive visual effects to the simulator.

The program is enhanced by specific expansions dedicated to certain aircraft, starting with the A320 last month and now with the impending arrival of 777 Immersion, dedicated to the wide-body airliner in PMDG’s recently released rendition for Microsoft Flight Simulator, with support for Captain Sim’s version coming soon too!

Parallel 42’s 777 Immersion package was initially teased during FSExpo a couple of weeks ago, and while the team didn’t provide many additional details about the product at the time, we already have a pretty good idea of what it aims to do. The main thing that was missing was a release date, which has now been set. 777 Immersion is coming very soon, on July 12th, priced at $15.00 USD plus applicable taxes.

As expected, the 777 Immersion package was crated to enhance the visual fidelity of the Boeing 777, providing a suite of effects that simulate real-world atmospheric interactions. Users can expect to see detailed engine condensation effects, wingtip vortices, and contrails that dynamically react to the environment. Additionally, the package includes impressive fuel jettison effects and intricate cloud illumination, adding depth and realism to every flight. But there’s much more!

Here’s a list of the effects included in the 777 Immersion package by Parallel 42:

  • APU Heat Blur (Improved)
  • Brake Dust
  • Cloud Effects
  • Cloud Illumination
