Paddy McGuinness is cycling from Wrexham to Glasgow to raise money for the BBC Children in Need. The comedian is completing a 300-mile Ultra Endurance Cycle with day four underway today, November 14.

The journey is expected to end tomorrow after a gruelling five days on the road. So far the BBC 2 presenter has raised a staggering four million pound for Children in Need with the number increasing by the hour.

He said: “I’ve been to a place called the Seashell Trust, which is a project up near me which Children In Need fund, and I’ve met a young lady called Grace who’s come through her cancer battle. She’s on the other side of that, and she’s taking on her own challenge as well.

“And when you meet these people… that’s what spurs you on, and when you see the work that’s being done in and around it, and again, when you’re out and about, just people stopping me.” You can support Paddy’s Children in Need challenge by donating here

Paddy has been supported by Olympian Sir Chris Hoy, as well as millions of people across the UK who have sent well wishes and donated to the amazing cause. Chris and Paddy trained together before the comedian embarked on the journey. He said: “It’s incredible, I’ve seen some of the footage.

“I’ve seen how emotional he’s been, he must be physically exhausted but emotionally exhausted as well. He just needs that support now to get him home and to keep on raising all this incredible amount of money that he has so far.”

BBC Children In Need will air at 7pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on November 15. A behind-the-scenes documentary showcasing McGuinness’s journey called Paddy: The Ride of My Life will air on November 19 from 8-9pm on BBC One.
