We are delighted to be working with an award-winning children’s magazine publisher based in Oxford. We are looking for an Operations and Office Manager to join their team on a full-time basis in-house.
The primary purpose of this role is to manage the office efficiently while collaborating with the operations team to support various operational and administrative functions essential for the daily operations of the business. The main responsibilities of the role include overseeing office facilities, coordinating with security, fire, and health and safety executives, and maintaining a welcoming office environment, front of house, and customer service.
Main responsibilities :-
- Maintain and monitor stock levels for stationery and kitchen supplies with a focus on environmental sustainability, and oversee the delivery of new stock to our warehouse.
- Offer customer service support for shop sales, including responding to customer inquiries and escalating issues when necessary, primarily using the platform Zendesk.
- Handle administrative tasks related to new products, such as adding them to their e-commerce platform and creating new barcodes and SKUs.
- Oversee the process of managing returns and issuing refunds.
- Prepare and submit weekly customer lists for comic distribution to their printer (referred to as “mail files”).
- Coordinate with printers and other key suppliers for various daily administrative tasks, including sending replacement copies to customers.
- Provide administrative support to Managing Directors as needed.
Our client is looking for candidates who have excellent communication skills and organisational abilities, enabling them to dynamically manage a varied workload. They should demonstrate creativity in identifying new revenue opportunities across the business and can work both independently and within a small team. The ability to analyse complex customer and campaign data, along with experience in e-commerce-or a subscription based business is desirable.
