One UI 7 app drawer has an unnecessary ‘Secured by Knox’ watermark

Must read

One UI 7.0 brings several new features, beautiful widgets and animations, new customization features, and improved security. However, it also brings a few odd UI elements, including an unnecessary ‘Secured by Knox’ watermark on the app drawer.

One UI 7.0 app drawer has ‘Secured by Knox’ watermark that can’t be removed

The app drawer in One UI 7.0, which now scrolls vertically, has a ‘Secured by Knox’ watermark on the bottom right corner of the screen. This watermark, which only appears in the app drawer (on top of the search bar), can’t be removed. It even shows on top of app icons when you are scrolling vertically and makes the UI look crowded.

You can see that watermark in our screenshot below.

This change from Samsung seems bizarre, as there is no need to constantly display Knox security in the app drawer. Maybe the apps you install on a Galaxy phone are secured by Knox, but it is an unnecessary label for regular users. You can see it in our One UI 7.0 vs One UI 6.1.1. comparison video below.

Samsung has made several changes and brought a new UI design language with One UI 7.0. The stock app icons have been refreshed, featuring bolder colors and a gradient background. The Quick Panel looks modern and is extensively customizable. Notifications now have a pill shape.
