Oasis will reportedly be supported by singer-songwriter Richard Ashcroft, former frontman of The Verve, and indie rock band Cast for their Ireland and UK gigs next year.
The Independent in London has reported that sources close to the Manchester rockers said that the two acts have been booked to open for the band on all of their Ireland and UK shows.
Oasis are set to perform two dates at Dublin’s Croke Park on 16 and 17 August next year as part of their highly anticipated reunion tour.
Ashcroft is a longtime friend of both Liam and Noel Gallagher, while Cast recently opened for Liam on his Definitely Maybe 30th-anniversary tour.
There has been controversy surrounding Ticketmaster’s surge pricing based on demand, with many fans being charged over-inflated prices for tickets for the reunion gigs.
An official announcement on the support acts is expected to be released next week.
