Must read

Oasis have shared the details of a ticket pre-sale ballot for their upcoming 2025 UK and Ireland reunion tour – sign up here.

Today (August 27), brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher finally reunited to announce a UK and Ireland stadium tour for 2025. The duo launched the OASIS LIVE 25 world tour with 14 stadium dates set to take place between Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin next summer.

These will be the band’s only shows in Europe in 2025, but a press release states that “plans are underway for OASIS LIVE 25 to go to other continents outside of Europe later next year”.

Tickets go on sale from 9am BST (8am IST) on Saturday August 31 and will be available here for UK shows, and here for the Irish dates. A ticket pre-sale ballot was just announced via the band’s official social media accounts for fans who would like the opportunity to score tickets on Friday (August 30) ahead of general sale.

Oasis fans can visit here to register for the pre-sale ballot. “To ensure the maximum number of fans have a fair opportunity to access tickets, applicants will be selected for the pre-sale via a ballot. Ballot registration is open now and will close at 7pm BST, this Wednesday 28th August,” began the caption of the post.

It continued: “Successful applicants will receive an email with full access information the morning of Friday 30th August. Success in the ballot will not guarantee tickets. Tickets will be allocated on a first come first served basis.”

Upon clicking the link, fans are directed to add their email address. After submitting an email address, fans will be asked to provide their full name, phone number, city/town and date of birth.

In an effort to “keep this fair and fan-focused”, those applying for the ballot will be quizzed on a series of questions such as how many Oasis shows they’ve been to (according to the application, “This will not have any bearing on your ballot application”) and “Who was the drummer in the initial Oasis line-up?” (Your answer for this question must be correct to qualify for the ballot).

The final question asks which location you would like to see the band perform with the options being UK, Ireland and no preference. Upon completion, a confirmation email will be sent and will provide a link to confirm your application. It is to be noted that the confirmation emails are currently delayed due to an extremely high volume of entries.

Elsewhere, Ticketmaster has shared the strict rules for those hoping to score tickets to the upcoming reunion tour.

According to the official website, fans will only be able to buy four tickets per household and credit card, with a statement on the website reading: “Please adhere to published ticket limits. Persons who exceed the ticket limit may have any or all of their orders and tickets cancelled without notice by Ticketmaster at its discretion.

“This includes orders associated with the same name, e-mail address, billing address, credit card number or other information.”

The website also states that any tickets purchased that exceed the limit of four per person and per household will be cancelled and only tickets purchased through approved agents are valid. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission.

In other news, attention is turning to whether or not the band could headline Glastonbury before the tour kicks off in July 2025.

As it stands, the tour schedule leaves Oasis free to headline Glastonbury 2025 – which takes place the week before, from Wednesday, June 25 to Sunday, June 29. Other acts rumoured to top the bill currently include EminemRihannaSam FenderTaylor Swift and Ed Sheeran.

There is also much speculation about who could support the band on the tour, with BlossomsKasabian and Manic Street Preachers being among those considered as possibilities.

The band have not yet revealed who’ll complete the line-up alongside Liam and Noel, but this week saw newspaper reports claim that “no other original Oasis member is expected to join the reunion” and that “the members of Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will step in for the concerts”.

News of the highly-anticipated tour – reportedly set to make a colossal £400million – comes ahead of the band releasing a 30th-anniversary reissue of their seminal 1994 debut album ‘Definitely Maybe’ on Friday (August 30).

Liam has recently been playing the record in its entirety on a celebratory solo tour throughout this summer, including his bill-topping sets at Reading & Leeds last weekend.

At the southern edition of the twin site festival, the singer dedicated ‘Half The World Away’ (a classic song sung by his brother) to “Noel fucking Gallagher”. He further stoked rumours of a reunion when he played the same track during his Leeds gig, and told the audience: “It is very interesting innit? It is a very interesting situation we’ve found ourselves in.”

Meanwhile, Oasis fans have been sharing details of the band’s last show before they broke up 15 years ago – watch it in full and check out the set list here.
