Liam and Noel Gallagher are to announce Oasis’ long-awaited return next week, it has been reported.
The feuding brothers appear to have put their differences aside and reportedly struck a secret deal after a promise of a £50million payday for a number of concerts next summer.
Noel, 57, called a reunion ‘ludicrous’ in 2021 saying he would reform Oasis only if he was offered £100million.
But after his £20m divorce from Sara MacDonald last year, the elder Gallagher is said to have been persuaded of the financial merits of getting the band together for dates at Glastonbury and Wembley Stadium.
Liam, 51, dropped a hint of a reunion earlier today to add fuel to the rumours by writing on X: ‘I never did like that word FORMER.’
A music insider said Liam and Noel had secretly been back in touch and both had agreed to the reunion, ‘much to the surprise of people around them’.

They told The Sun: ‘There will be concerts in the UK next summer and both Noel and Liam are excited to get back out there together.’
Fans were sent into pandemonium earlier today when rumours began to swirl about the iconic Britpop band’s reunion.
It is believed Liam and Noel will confirm the news next week with speculation they will perform together for the Glastonbury headline slot as well as 10 gigs at Wembley in 2025 – breaking Taylor Swift‘s recent record at the venue.
Next Wednesday will mark 15 years since Noel sensationally quit Oasis ‘with great relief’ following a backstage bust-up in Paris saying: ‘I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer.’
The Mail on Sunday has learned that the Gallagher brothers have been told that Glastonbury chiefs would love them to headline slot at the 2025 music extravaganza after criticism about the main acts at this year’s festival.
Planners for next year’s event at Worthy Farm, Somerset, are determined to get new and big names for the headline slots. Music industry sources have told the Mail on Sunday that an Oasis reunion now looks ‘more do-able than it has been for years.’
And fans couldn’t be happier as they penned on X their excitement over the weekend – with many of their middle-aged fans joking they will need to organise childcare sharpish so they can go to Glastonbury to see them.
As well as Glastonbury, The Times reports that they could play 10 nights at Wembley and if it goes ahead it would break the record set by Taylor on her Eras Tour this summer.
After The Times posted the article on X, a fan said Heaton Park is a ‘terrible venue for concerts’, with Liam responding: ‘See you down the front.’
When another asked when the reunion dates will be announced, he replied: ‘Next Friday.’
The Cruel Summer songstress, 34, played eight shows at the north London venue to delighted crowds in June and August – making her the first solo artist to play the stadium that many times.
She told the screaming audience: ‘You have made me the first solo artist to play Wembley eight times on a single tour!’

Fans were also surprised to hear Noel pay Liam a string of compliments in an interview released last week with music journalist John Robb at Manchester’s Sifters Records in honour of the album’s 30th anniversary.
Reflecting on Liam’s performance on a number of their hits, Noel said: ‘It’s the delivery or the tone of his voice and the attitude.
‘I don’t have the same attitude as him.’

He also jokingly compared Liam’s voice to ’10 shots of tequila on a Friday night’ and his as ‘half a Guinness on a Tuesday’.
Last year, Noel joked in an interview on Radio X that he would ‘properly consider’ getting Oasis back together if he was given £8 million.
Asked whether it annoys him when people ask about a reunion, he said: ‘It used to really annoy me when I first started and now it’s just, it’s just whatever…
‘I’m fascinated with people asking the same question and getting the same answer, but the thing that is ongoing and will never get old is how the music just keeps appealing to another generation of fans.’
Formed in the 1990s, the Britpop group rose to fame with hits like Wonderwall, Don’t Look Back In Anger and Stop Crying Your Heart Out.
They went on to become arguably one of the biggest bands in British music history before their break-up in 2009.
The brothers went on to have successful solo careers, with Noel fronting the group Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds.
