Nvidia Corporation has been subpoenaed by the US Department of Justice amid an antitrust investigation into the chipmaker.
The artificial intelligence computing provider has received a subpoena as antitrust officials seek evidence that it violated competition laws.
The action means Nvidia is legally obliged to hand over requested information. Other unnamed companies have also received subpoenas, according to Bloomberg.

Antitrust officials are understood to be concerned that Nvidia is making it harder to switch to other chip manufacturers and penalises buyers who do not exclusively use its chips.
