NVIDIA RTX 4090 runs Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Single-Player with 70-90fps at Native 4K, Max Settings and DLAA

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be released in a few hours and we got a chance to play the final version prior to its official launch. As such, I’ve decided to share my initial tech performance impressions. Can the NVIDIA RTX 4090 run it with over 60fps at Native 4K/Max Settings? Well, spoiler alert. It can.

For these 4K benchmarks, we used an AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D with 32GB of DDR5 at 6000Mhz, and the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090. We also used Windows 10 64-bit, and the GeForce 565.90 driver. I know there is a new driver for the game. Still, overall performance seemed already great. Moreover, we’ve disabled the second CCD on our 7950X3D.

Our PC system was able to run the first mission with 70-90fps at Native 4K on Max Settings and with DLAA. The game supports both AMD FSR 3.1 and NVIDIA DLSS 3. This means that you can also use DLSS/FSR Super Resolution and Frame Generation to further improve your performance.

The only minor drop I saw was during a scripted event at the end of the first mission. When the helicopter crashes, the framerate drops to 48fps and then goes back to 80fps. During gameplay, I never saw any drops below 70fps. That was while recording and with DLAA.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 does not support any Ray Tracing effects. Instead, the game relies on pre-baked lighting techniques to enhance its visuals. And, at times, the game can look pretty awesome. I mean, take a look at the following screenshot. Everything looks top-notch here.

From what I’ve seen, the campaign also looks better – graphically – than the one we got for Modern Warfare 3. That’s a relief as MW3 SP was a big disappointment. And yes, this is a full-fledged single-player campaign.
