Nunez and Diaz Dance With Klopp at Liverpool Party

Must read

Highlights

  • Jurgen Klopp celebrated Liverpool’s win over Wolves with Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez, dispelling rumors of discontent between himself and the Uruguayan.
  • Klopp’s legacy at Liverpool includes 8 trophies, with fans continuing to worship him despite a less successful season.
  • Party videos suggest no falling out between Klopp and Nunez, and Diaz appears to want to stay at Anfield despite rumors.

Jurgen Klopp was spotted dancing in Liverpool after their 2-0 win over Wolves marked his final game as Reds boss – and with Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez partying alongside him, it has seemingly dispelled any rumours of discontent after the Uruguayan was thought not to have clapped the German boss on his guard of honour.

Klopp’s nine-year stint as Liverpool boss saw him lift eight trophies at the Anfield club, including a sixth Champions League and a first Premier League title, ending a 30-year wait for a top-flight title in the process. And despite relative failure this season by fading away towards the end of the campaign, it won’t matter one bit to Liverpool fans who will continue to worship him for bringing their club out of the abyss and to the top of the Premier League picture once again.

Jurgen Klopp Has Been Pictured Dancing with Darwin Nunez

Klopp and Nunez were thought to have had a falling out

Following on from the win over Wolves, Liverpool’s squad were pictured partying by Josh Koumas – brother of young Reds starlet Lewis – with Klopp, Diaz and Nunez all being spotted on the dancefloor. And that seemed to have shunned any reports of a falling out between Nunez and Klopp – whilst also hinting that Diaz is happy at Liverpool amid rumours that he wants to leave.

Nunez hasn’t had the greatest of seasons, and with Klopp walking out to a rapturous applause at Anfield, a huge guard of honour took place that saw the likes of Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah and more give their boss one final send off after almost a decade of success on Merseyside. But Nunez was stood sheepishly behind Diaz and Alexis Mac Allister with his arms by his front – leading to speculation over whether himself and Klopp had a falling out towards the end of the season.

Jurgen Klopp was applauded during his guard of honour at Anfield by every single Liverpool player except one.

However, Koumas’ video depicts Klopp, surrounded by his players, dancing away – and with Nunez present, it seems as though the duo will part ways on good terms with Arne Slot set to come into the club in pre-season.

Klopp has kept his faith in Nunez despite inconsistent form

Nunez hasn’t exactly found the Premier League challenging, but the former Benfica man knows he will have to do better after scoring just 20 goals in his first two Premier League seasons for Liverpool and at the age of just 24, he has plenty of time to do so.

Pace, athleticism and physicality is no problem for Nunez, though he will need to show more composure if he is to blossom under Arne Slot – and Klopp inferred as such back in March by stating that whilst Nunez isn’t at his peak, he can develop to being a top-class player. He said:

“He had absolutely more than an OK first season but he had to adapt, that’s done, and he is settled in the middle of the team. He loves to play for this team together with these boys and has quality coming out of his ears, to be honest.

“Is he at his absolute peak in general? Not now for us. But can he develop? Yes. Is he a threat all the time? Yes.”
