A NOUGHTIES soap favourite looks unrecognisable after finding fame on Hollyoaks.
The Channel 4 actress, who joined the soap in 2022, proved hugely popular with fans – even clocking up three appearances in FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women list.
Jodi Albert, 41, who played Hollyoaks‘ Debbie Dean, quit the show three years later.
During her time on the soap she often styled her brunette hair poker-straight and donned thick black eyeliner.
Jodi continued her telly career in shows including Casualty and British film Popcorn.
During her telly career she attracted huge fan attention and made it onto the annual list of FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women three times.
In 2005, she also scooped the gong for Sexiest Female at the British Soap Awards.
But Jodie shunned the celebrity circuit after marrying Westlife singer Kian Egan in 2009 – and now keeps fans up-to-date with life on her Instagram page.
The couple have three children and are raising them by the sea in Ireland.
Jodi – now the ultimate yummy mummy – often shares adorable snaps of her family and their idyllic life to her 147k followers.
In her Instagram bio, she describes herself as “London born/beach girl now.
“Raising three little wildlings with my love Kian Egan.”
In 2016, she told Irish radio station RTE she loves the quiet life and said: “As I got older and we had children I just really wanted to be part of a community.”
Her social media offers insights into their family life, including lavish overseas trips, supporting Kian on tour with Westlife and enjoying watersports.
She has always been candid about her life and, in 2022, told fans she had suffered a tragic miscarriage.
The screen star again took to Instagram to speak out about the “painful loss” after one fan had told her she looked pregnant in a recent photo.
She admitted she lost her baby at nine weeks in what was her second sad miscarriage in four years.
Jodie penned in her caption: “I posted a similar pic to this on Valentine’s Day.. one person commented and said she looks pregnant… on any other occasion I might have been offended but on this occasion I thought… ooh she guessed it right, I am and I cannot wait to get to 12 weeks to share our happy news!!!
“But sadly we lost our little one at nine weeks pregnant .. this is my second miscarriage although 3 1/2 years apart… this one hit differently because we allowed ourselves to get excited and dream about what the future would look like with a new beautiful little blessing to add to our family.”
Jodie said she worried about sharing her news, but urge others to remember they aren’t alone if they are going through the same thing.
She continued: “I have written out this post and deleted it so many times as my biggest fear has been having to tell people but I know that by talking or posting about it, it can be so helpful for anyone going through this painful loss …
“The silence after the D&C procedure is deafening because you are left with so many thoughts and questions that can sometimes never be answered.
“I think it’s part of a positive healing process or maybe it’s just for me to remember that it was real and that little baby did exist and was loved so much.”
She ended her post by praising Kian, adding: “To my husband who has just been my rock .. you are the most amazing man…
“I love you and our boys so much and am so grateful for what I already have.”
This year, Jodie and Kian rung in 2024 with a sweet celebration on the beach.
