As their name suggests, Nothing Ear (open) are the first open-ear wireless earbuds from the Nothing brand. They bring an on-ear design with wrap-around ear hooks and feature the now-signature Nothing look with their semi-transparent design. They don’t offer active noise cancelation as Ear (open) are geared to users who value situational awareness and all-day comfort.
Design has always been a focus for Nothing products and the Ear (open) carry the now signature translucent look associated with the brand. The new buds feature speakers that rest outside your ear and a three-point balance system with silicone ear hooks. Nothing developed a new Sound Seal System with directional speakers to keep sound leakage and ensure privacy.
Each bud weighs 8.1 grams and both the buds and the case feature IP54 dust and splash resistance.
Ear (open) feature 14.2mm titanium-coated drivers and pair over Bluetooth 5.3 with support for dual device pairing. Each earbud packs dual mics Clear Voice 3.0 tech and pinch controls for media playback, volume controls, and call management.
Like previous Nothing buds, Ear (open) work with the Nothing X app. You can tweak and share your EQ profiles, customize controls, and update their firmware from the app. The buds also support Find My network, low latency mode for gaming, and integrated ChatGPT connectivity which requires a Nothing phone to work.
