The start of 2025 is looking a whole lot better for residents on seven streets across the region who scooped prizes after their postcodes came out in the draw between December 21 and December 28.

Lucky residents in Newton Aycliffe bagged a festive jackpot on Saturday (December 28) after DL5 4NT was picked out for the £1m prize.

Every winning ticket was worth £58,823, but two neighbours doubled their wins with two tickets, and another player tripled their windfall to £176,469 with three.

Elsewhere players on streets in County Durham and Teesside have all been selected for £1,000 prizes.

The People’s Postcode Lottery is a subscription lottery which aims to raise money for charities while also bringing cash prizes to homes across the UK.
