Next Helldivers 2 update will finally fix Arrowhead’s atrocious balancing  

Arrowhead Games Studios has revealed the next Helldivers 2 update release date for PS5 and PC. Following a minor update that’s already reuniting the community, Arrowhead has revealed another content drop is coming very soon. 

Next Helldivers 2 update 

Following a rough period of nerfs and technical issues for the game, the next Helldivers 2 update is already scheduled. 

Revealed in a recent blog post, the game studio revealed the next update is planned to go live on September 17, 2024. The update will ship simultaneously on both PS5 and PC. 

The upcoming update will be the first step in Helldivers’ new 60-day roadmap. Taking place over several months, this roadmap aims to address balancing while introducing new content to dedicated players. 

Helldivers’ September 17th update will focus largely on balance fixes. This includes reworks for enemies, weapons, stratagems and armor penetration for all players. Enemies will be more rewarding to kill whereas weapons like the Autocannon, Heavy Machine Gun, and Anti-Material Rifle will be heavily buffed. 

“We’re taking this opportunity to consider new player fantasies and design goals for these weapons and stratagems based on the feedback we’ve received and the trends we’re observing during gameplay,” Arrowhead told fans.

Alongside the update, Arrowhead thanked fans for continuing to support Helldivers. Despite the balance issues, Helldivers 2 is still a brilliant multiplayer game, and an experience like no other. 

“We value your feedback and are always looking for ways to improve our community engagement,” the developer said. “Stay tuned for more updates in the coming weeks as we work together to make Helldivers 2 the best it can be. We’ll be back on the 17th of September with more details.”

Hopefully, the game’s next update will be a huge step in the right direction for the future of Arrowhead’s game. Thankfully, we don’t have to wait long to find out.
