New Kate portrait revealed as fans all say the same thing

Must read

A new portrait of the Princess of Wales is set to feature on the cover of Tatler magazine.

The painting, which honours her courage and dignity, by British-Zambian artist Hannah Uzor took inspiration from Kate’s cancer diagnosis video message to the nation. The image in the portrait also captures her first state banquet of the King Charles’s reign.

It has now been unveiled on social media, with many royal fans sharing their own thoughts on the painting.

Taking to Instagram, under the image posted by @tatlermagazine, fans pointed out that it “looks nothing like her”.

One fan commented: “This is no resemblance [of] her at all.”

Agreeing, another commented: “Lol! Look absolutely nothing like her, though!”

Another simply commented: “No resemblance”.

With another posting that it is “not a great image”, another questioned why the “terrible” painting was allowed to be published.

They wrote: “What a terrible terrible portrait of the Princess of Wales!!! Who allowed that to be on the front cover??? Even published by Tatler!!!”

Many fans also commented that the portrait was simply “awful”, with one stating that Princess Kate “will not be happy”.

According to Tatler, the portrait will grace the cover for the July 2024 edition of the magazine.

As stated in the Instagram post, Hannah Uzor told the publication: “She has really risen up to her role [as the Princess of Wales].

“She was born for this. She carries herself with such dignity, elegance and grace.”

The Princess of Wales announced back in March that she was undergoing preventative chemotherapy after post-operative tests found cancer was present.

Kate, 42, has previously undergone planned abdominal surgery in London on January 16 – which was unrelated to her later diagnosis.

The Princess of Wales has been absent from royal engagements since December, when she appeared with the rest of the Royal Family at Sandringham on Christmas Day.
