The Sulis Hospital – located at Peasedown St John – is holding a recruitment open day on Saturday, July 27 from 10am to 2pm, where prospective employees are welcome to come through its doors.
The hospital has opened over 100 new jobs ahead of its new Sulis Elective Orthopaedic Centre (SEOC) launching in December.
Roles range from clinical to support staff in departments from Radiology to In-Patients, Hospitality to Hospital Administration. The hospital offers competitive salaries and supports flexible working, with both full-time and part-time positions available.
The event will take place on site at Sulis Hospital, Foxcote Ave, Bath Business Park, BA2 8SQ. It is designed to be a relaxed, informal event and there will be free car parking and refreshments.
Attendees will meet Sulis’ friendly clinical leads. They will also have the opportunity to speak with the hospital director and explore the award-winning facilities during guided tours. The innovative building was designed by Fosters & Partners and incorporates a biophilic design to enhance staff well-being whilst improving patient recovery times.
Simon Milner, Hospital Director at Sulis Hospital, comments: “It’s wonderful to open our doors with this event. We have the privilege of making a difference in the lives of patients and our community through outstanding, compassionate care. The opening of the Sulis Elective Orthopaedic Centre is a marvellous addition to the hospital, strengthening our services and capacity.”
Hayley Lord, Head of HR, adds: “I really encourage anyone who may be thinking about a career shift to come along and experience what we have to offer. This open day is a great opportunity to hear first-hand what it’s like to be a part of the Sulis team. You’ll be able to ask questions, hear tailored answers, and get a real feel for the hospital. Some time in the hospital’s beautiful Somerset location is a bonus!”
Sulis Hospital is rated Outstanding for Caring and Good Overall by the Care Quality Commission. The hospital has also achieved accreditation as an elective surgical hub through NHS England’s Getting It Right First Time (GIRFT) scheme.
