A new fitness and wellbeing festival is coming to Chislehurst at the end of the month.

Chislehurst Thrives is set to take place on Sunday, June 30, from 11am until 5pm, at Chislehurst and Walden Recreation Grounds.

This free event, organised by Visit Chislehurst, with the help of Lollipop Events, will offer more than 30 activities and talks – including yoga, pilates, nutrition talks, dance shows, tennis coaching, and obstacle courses.

There will be several zones and tents focused around different activities, such as the Wellbeing Zone – dedicated to hosting inspirational talks and interviews on health and wellbeing – and the Big Picnic area specifically for children and young people.

A key part of Chislehurst Thrives will be Colourscape, a huge interactive and immersive experience, where attendees can walk through interconnected colourful tunnels.

On the day, there will also be a variety of stalls offering goods, hands-on activities to take part in, and different food options.

Kids’ rides, a tug-of-war competition and reptile handling add to the fun.

Matt Venner, volunteer director at Visit Chislehurst, said: “We’re thrilled to be organising this new event in Chislehurst: the biggest free festival of its kind in the South East.

“Working with local independent businesses, it’s going to be a fantastic family day out, right on our doorstep.”

Several sponsors are helping to bring the event together, including Chislehurst Chiropractic Clinic and MAH Steel Limited as Gold sponsors, and Chislehurst Health Care as one of the Bronze sponsors.

Dr Jason Gould from Chislehurst Chiropractic Clinic is set to give a talk in the Wellbeing Zone, on five key tips for health and wellbeing.

Dr Gould said: “We’re honoured to be a gold sponsor of this brilliant new local festival, focusing on fitness, health and wellbeing.

“Let’s thrive together.”
