Call of Duty is teaming up with Netflix to bring the hit TV series Squid Game to Black Ops 6 and Warzone in January 2025. This collaboration was revealed in a teaser trailer showing a Call of Duty Operator discovering a mysterious envelope with Squid Game symbols. The crossover coincides with the highly anticipated second season of Squid Game, premiering on Netflix on December 26. This isn’t the first time Call of Duty has partnered with other franchises; previous crossovers have included Tomb Raider, Crash Bandicoot, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The collaboration was also teased on social media platform X (earlier Twitter) as well:

Call of Duty X Squid Game collaboration: What to expect
Currently, details remain scarce, with little confirmed beyond the crossover’s arrival in Black Ops 6 and Warzone early next year. The teaser also didn’t confirm if it will deliver more than premium romper-suit-style cosmetics.
This isn’t the first time Squid Game has made its way into the digital realm as part of Netflix’s season two promotions. The streaming giant is also set to release Squid Game Unleashed, a multiplayer “party royale” game for iOS and Android, launching for subscribers on December 17.
It’s one of over 80 games Netflix currently has in development as part of its gaming expansion. However, one of its most anticipated projects—a AAA title helmed by former Halo creative lead Joseph Staten—has now been cancelled.
Meanwhile, 2024 is shaping up to be a strong year for Call of Duty. Microsoft recently announced that Black Ops 6 broke the record for the highest number of Game Pass subscriber additions on launch day, surpassing the mark set by Starfield last year.
The latest Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is now available on various platforms, including PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
