Further details regarding what characters the 19 actors will play are under wraps. Black Mirror is currently in production.

Charlie Brooker’s dark, satirical anthology series will return in 2025 with six new episodes, including a sequel to the sci-fi adventure USS Callister, one of the series’ most popular episodes. Jesse Plemons, Cristin Milioti, Jimmi Simpson and Michaela Coel star in the original episode which aired as the first of Season 4.

The Emmy-winning installment was penned by Brooker and directed by Toby Haynes. It follows Daly (Plemons), a reclusive but gifted programmer and co-founder of a popular massively multiplayer online game who is bitter over the lack of recognition of his position from his coworkers. Telling a tale that evoked themes of fragile masculinity and the dangers of technology, Daly takes out his frustrations by simulating a Star Trek-like space adventure within the game, using his co-workers’ DNA to create sentient digital clones of them, with terrifying consequences.

“USS Callister will return… Robert Daly is dead, but for the crew of the USS Callister, their problems are just beginning,” read a teaser released by Netflix at a London event in March.

Brooker created the series and serves as executive producer with Jessica Rhoades and Annabel Jones. Brooker and Jones’ Broke & Bones production banner continues to produce and Banijay Rights is distributing.
