NEPI Rockcastle, a leading owner, developer, and operator of shopping centers in Central and Eastern Europe, announced the launch of the SPOT Festival concept in Romania. More than 35 artists from various musical genres will perform on 14 stages in malls across the country for six months.
The SPOT Festival concept is a first on the local market and involves, besides concerts, a series of other experiences such as contests, promotions and new collections, and various activities organized both on-site in shopping centers and online on social media.
Fourteen malls joined the initiative, which kicks off this month and is scheduled to continue for the rest of the year.
Some of the artists and bands that will bring the festival atmosphere directly to the malls include The Mono Jacks, Delia, Suie Paparude, Holy Molly, Robin & The Backstabbers, Mario Fresh, Omul cu Sobolani, Nicole Cherry, Coma, and Vița de vie.
Entrance to the concerts is possible through the SPOT application, which offers free access.
According to representatives of NEPI Rockcastle, the SPOT Festival, which is in its first edition, will continue after 2024.
NEPI Rockcastle’s portfolio, worth EUR 6.8 billion, comprises 2.2 million sqm in nine countries in Central and Eastern Europe. The company is the market leader in Romania and Poland (NEPI Rockcastle’s two largest markets), Bulgaria, Hungary, and Slovakia, and also owns shopping centers in Croatia, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, and Serbia.
