For her Resort 2025 collection, Natasha Zinko is shooting her vision across the galaxy.
Drawing inspiration from retrofuturism, the London-based designer brings an edgy grit to the extra-terrestrial, adopting a grunge, dystopian flair. Across, the Central St. Martin’s graduate utilises raw hems, lived-in denim and tie-up features to create a distressed, DIY finish. Elsewhere, the collection sees Zinko experiment with structured silhouettes, creating her very one spacesuit from a belted, oversized trench coat featuring a fitted headpiece. Interwoven throughout, the use of buckles and straps emphasises Zino’s bold, punkish energy, ensuring a playful, brazen approach to shape and tailoring.
Chunky furs, corseted designs and ‘no trouser’ pieces unveil an alternative facet to the capsule, managing a contrast between luxury fashion and street style. Footwear is kept sharp and elongated, paired with skin-tight leg-warmers, whilst cropped padded jackets are layered over half-length leather bottoms to create all-year-round looks. From beginning to end, colourways are kept muted and mostly monochrome, steering towards a more moody, versatile wardrobe.
Previewed during Fashion Week, Natasha Zino is building an alternative universe with her latest collection, highlighting her strengths in structure, tailoring and attention to detail.
