Must read

Marks and Spencer is selling summer trousers so popular, they’ve got over 800 ratings. Despite coming in some colours which have been called ‘unusual’ by shoppers, the lightweight summer trousers are said to be so ‘comfy’, fashion lovers are snapping them all up.

The £25 M&S Collection Cotton Rich Tea Dyed Slim Fit Chinos have been designed with both style and practicality in mind, and have found themselves an instant wardrobe staple with the thousands of shoppers who have snapped them up already. Coming in nine different colours, there’s plenty of choice for fashion fans to stock up on a summer essential that can be worn time and time again with various t-shirts, blouses and vests.

Marks and Spencer shoppers have the option of: Black, Navy, Light Grey, Buttery White, Ecru, Terracotta, Light Pink, Ice Blue and Dark Sage. There’s also a variety of different lengths and sizes to suit every figure and body shape.

Coming in sizes 6 to 24, the M&S Collection Cotton Rich Tea Dyed Slim Fit Chinos are available in Short/Petite, Regular and Long lengths. The trousers have been crafted from a breathable cotton rich fabric, which features added stretch for day-long comfort.

They have a modern slim fit, which looks smart but won’t cling to every lump and bump. An ankle-grazing length and casual rolled hems allow for the trousers to be styled to your liking – whether it be for office attire or more casual outings.

Another key feature is their flattering high-rise waist, which will give a slimming feel. Practical elements include belt loops, a button and zip fastening, and front and back pockets.

One impressed M&S shopper wrote: “I like these chinos as they are nice and light weight for the summer. A good fit and the the shorter length is great, and can also be rolled up.”

A second said: “I ordered size 14 short; I’m 5’5”ish and can be a 12 or 14. They fitted perfectly. They will be extremely useful over the summer months, folded to above the ankle with trainers or sandals. Nice pockets, slim leg without clinging. Yes, I would definitely recommend them.”

“Haven’t actually worn the chinos yet but have 4 other pairs in different colours. So naturally expect them to fit perfectly,” said a third.

A fourth raved: “Comfortable fitting, light weight summer chino. Glad I bought the longer length rather than the standard length, which would be my usual length, as these fall just right (I’m not a fan of ankle grazers!) and the small turn-up adds to the weight at the bottom of the legs so that they sit nicely.”

Somebody else complained about the fit, writing: “I like these, the colour is unusual. They are a bit baggy on the back of the legs.”

But another penned: “Lovely soft material and good fit. I bought the ecru and I’m very happy with my choice. Relaxed style.”

And someone else who likes them so much they have a pair in every colour, said: “Great Summer trousers, various colours all of which I bought – very comfy.”

Elsewhere, River Island’s Petite Chino Trousers have been slashed down from £37 to £15 as part of the brand’s summer sale. And at New Look, the Cotton Mid Rise Straight Leg Chinos are £18 instead of £29.99, though very limited sizes are now available.
