The Highcross Shopping Centre is going through “a promising time” with a new shop opening today (Monday) and another to follow. Sunglass Hut opened today and sports clothing store Castore is due to open later in the summer.
The new stores follow the recent arrival of Card Factory in the Highcross in Leicester city centre in June. Sunglass Hut is located in the upper mall next to Goldsmiths, selling “the latest trends in high-quality sunglasses, with leading brands such as Ray-Ban, Oakley and Prada among its collection”.
The centre said that Castore is set to open its doors later this summer on the upper mall, next to Jo Malone London, selling sporting clothes for men, women and children. And the centre said more new “dining options” were coming later in the year.

The senior general manager of Highcross, Jo Tallack, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Sunglass Hut to Highcross, a brand who’s distinctive range of eyewear will undoubtedly appeal to the fashion-forward shoppers of Leicester, while Castore’s premium sportswear will attract those seeking high-quality sports apparel.
