BERLIN (dpa-AFX) – According to the Federal Ministry of the Interior, the Federal Criminal Police Office is still looking for the cause and a solution to the IT malfunction that is currently causing problems for entry checks by the federal police.
“The Federal Ministry of the Interior is aware of current technical disruptions to the information systems operated by the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) for the police information network,” a ministry spokesperson said in response to a query. “These also affect entry controls by the federal police.”
The BKA is working with its partner authorities “to eliminate the disruptions and find the causes”. These investigations remain to be seen./wim/DP/he
