Tesco customers are being urged to check their emails and the Grocery App
Millions of Tesco shoppers may be about to receive up to £50 to spend in stores and online as part of a new promotion. More than 20 million people in the UK have a Clubcard, meaning they have opted into the supermarket giant’s well-known loyalty scheme.
According to Money Saving Expert, those who own one of the cards could earn as much as £50 in bonus points in the coming weeks, as Tesco launches a new round of its “Clubcard Challenges”. The offer previously ran in May, and was then available to some 3m Clubcard holders.
MSE asked Tesco how many shoppers would be included, and the retailer said “at least the same people” who got the offer last time would get it this time. Shoppers are urged to check their emails, as well as the Tesco Grocery app, to see if they have been invited to take part.
The offer runs until Sunday, August 25, with shoppers given 20 spending challenges. The maximum number of challenges a Tesco customer can complete is ten, and these will appear via email or in the app.

You’ll need to manually select the challenges you would like applied to your account, and the ones you are offered will be based on your spending habits. For example, a shopper could be tasked with spending £20 on Tesco’s summer BBQ range over the six-week period, or spending £10 on plant-based ready meals.
The maximum a customer can earn from completing ten challenges is 5,000 Clubcard points, worth £50 to spend in Tesco. Alternatively if you choose to redeem them with Tesco’s Reward partners, you can double the money for a £100 spend.
