His representatives revealed that an ulcer flare up caused Tyson to become dizzy and nauseous mid-flight.

They have since insisted that he has made a full recovery and is now ‘doing great’ – a message that was concurred by Tyson when he broke his silence on Tuesday.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, he wrote: “Now feeling 100 per cent even though I don’t need to be to beat Jake Paul.”

It was thought that Paul vs Tyson fight may be delayed after the news broke that Tyson had suffered a health scare.

However, judging from Tyson’s statement, everything is set to go ahead as planned.

Paul confirmed as much earlier this week.

“You love to make s*** up before knowing the facts for clicks/likes. Nothing changed,” Paul tweeted on Monday.

The pair are set to square off on July 20 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas – the home of NFL’s Dallas Cowboys.

If for any reason, Tyson isn’t able to fight, super-lightweight contender Ryan Garcia has offered to replace the boxing legend.

Garcia posted on X that he’d be willing to face Paul if Tyson can’t fight, saying: “If Mike can’t fight I’ll sub in.”

He also sent Paul a message, reading:  “If you down to fight. If Mike can’t do it. Let me know I will fill in.”

Paul quickly responded to the offer and played down a potential fight: “Everyone is trying to do everything they can to hurt this fight and attack me. You should know about that.”

By the time Tyson climbs between the ropes on fight night he will have just celebrated his 58th birthday while Paul is in his physical prime at 27.

The last time Tyson boxed in a professional contest was all the way back in June 2005 when he retired on his stool at the end of the sixth round against regional-level pro Kevin McBride.

Meanwhile, Paul has been actively competing as a pro boxer and has fought ten times (9-1) in the paid ranks over the past four years.
