Microsoft’s ‘security nightmare’ AI records everything you look at

Must read

Microsoft’s new AI feature has been described as a “security nightmare” because it screenshots everything you look at on your PC, including your passwords and bank details.

“Recall” was described by the company as giving your computer a photographic memory, enabling users to search for anything that has passed on the screen.

All activities, communications and websites would be captured and stored locally on the computer. They would be searchable using an AI model, which could also identify the content of images. Users can go back to a specific time or search by keyword. “With Recall, you have an explorable timeline of your PC’s past,” the company said.
