Michelle Obama has given her first US presidential campaign speech on behalf of Kamala Harris in which she implored voters to support the vice-president.
Appearing in Michigan, a key battleground state that could decide the outcome of next month’s election, the former first lady appealed in particular to men who polls say are only lukewarm about the prospect of Harris in the White House.
“If we don’t get this election right, your wife, your daughter, your mother, we as women, will become collateral damage to your rage,” she said.

Like a campaign rally on Friday in Texas, at which Harris appeared on the stage with Beyoncé and fellow singer Kelly Rowland, Saturday’s event in Kalamazoo focused on women’s healthcare and reproductive rights. They are areas
