Mark Wright has revealed which baby names his pregnant wife Michelle Keegan loves.
The couple set tongues wagging on Sunday night when they revealed they’re expecting their first bundle of joy next year. Posing on a sandy beach, Michelle showed off her growing baby bump and teased on social media: “2025 is going to be a special one for us.”
Before dropping the baby bombshell, Mark had a cheeky chat with Robbie Williams on Heart Radio, asking if he could nick his daughter Theodora’s nickname, Teddy. “I’ve got something to ask you actually, in case this happens,” he quizzed Robbie.
“Me and my wife, we’re not trying for kids yet, I’m gonna state that, however we hopefully one day will have kids and she loves both Teddy and Theodora.” He added: “I mean she saw a picture I think of you and the family – and said, ‘Oh I love that name so much’,” reports the Mirror.
Mark wanted to know if Robbie would be cool with them using the name, to which Robbie gave a hearty “absolutely” and even admitted he pinched the name from rock icon Keith Richards. The pregnancy announcement follows years of speculation about why the pair hadn’t started a family.
Speaking out against the prying questions, Michelle previously told The Mirror: “It’s horrible. People don’t know if we’re trying.” She stressed the importance of privacy, saying, “They don’t know the background of what’s happening. In this day and age, you shouldn’t be asking questions like that.”
“I’m asked purely because I’m a woman. I’m immune to it now – it’s like a reaction, and as soon as I hear it I brush it off as it’s no one else’s business.” Mark and Michelle first crossed paths on the X Factor scene and kept bumping into each other at glitzy industry events. Love sparked, and by 2013 Mark had whisked her away for a spellbinding proposal in Dubai.
The lovebirds tied the knot two years later. With their baby news out in the public domain, an avalanche of heartwarming messages has been pouring in from celeb mates and fans alike.
Olly Murs gushed: “It’s magical guys x buzzing for you both!” while Rochelle Humes said: “Over the moon for you both.” Amanda Holden sent her love, saying: “Incredible news,” and TOWIE’s very own Arg couldn’t hide his excitement: “I love you and I’m so happy for you both, Your going to be amazing parents. I can’t wait to be [an] Uncle.”
