FESTIVALGOERS have been given the latest Glastonbury weather update – as the Met Office releases a new forecast.
With just two days left to go before the event, music lovers are eager to find out if glorious weather will hold out for them.

Glastonbury fans will be thrilled to hear the mercury is predicted to rise on Wednesday and conditions are expected to stay mostly dry.
The Met Office predict highs of 27C in Somerset on opening day, with a light breeze.
However, Thursday is likely to bring some rain by the afternoon, and it could become a little muddy underfoot.
The event’s second day could see cloudier skies and slightly stronger winds which will drop temperatures.
But, music fans will be relieved to discover Friday and Saturday are predicted to stay dry with sunny spells.
Figures are set to hover at around 20C with highs of 21C.
A Met Office spokesperson told The Sun: “There isn’t a huge amount of rain in the forecast but as the cold front passes through on Thursday things could get a little soggy for a time, so it would be advisable to bring footwear to deal with that, don’t just stick with flip flops!
“Of course at this time of the year the sun is very strong, so even if it is a little cloudy and after the peak of the heat on Wednesday, still remember to use sun cream and protect yourself from the strong UV at this time of year.”
It comes as a yellow heat health alert has been issued by the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) and Met Office for most of England this week.
Forecasters have warned of a likely “increase in mortality across the population” from today until Thursday.
The heat alerts will be in force for every region of England except the north east, which is covered by a green alert.
OAPs and people with health conditions are most at risk, but young people could also suffer in the heat.
Met Office expert Dan Rudman said:”Fine conditions will return today for the beginning of next week.Â
“For much of the UK this will be accompanied by a boost in temperatures with many places reaching the mid-20°Cs.Â
“Some central and southern areas are likely to see temperatures approaching the values needed for heatwave conditions.
“Heatwave conditions need to remain in situ for three consecutive days.
“By the beginning to middle of next week it is possible that some parts of the UK could be reaching heatwave thresholds.

“Whether or not everyone experiences heatwave thresholds, most of the UK will experience the highest temperatures so far this year.”
Meanwhile, Brits in the south east of England could experience 32C heat on Thursday.
Today, thousands of people flocked to beaches across the UK to soak up the sunshine and hot weather.
Beachgoers have made the most of glorious sun at Thames Estuary in Southend-on-Sea, in Essex.
While Bournemouth Beach in Dorset was also packed as Brits enjoyed the start of summer.
And, Brighton beach was stowed out this afternoon as people basked in the heat.
Youngsters were also loving their beach day at Cullercoats Bay in North Tyneside this afternoon.
By Wednesday, the mercury is rising yet again, with parts of the Midlands, south east and East Anglia peaking at 30C.
But, this could see some thunderstorms for Wales and the south west.
Meanwhile northern England and Scotland can expect a cooler and fresher feel with maximum temperatures of 21C.
Met Meteorologist Aidan McGivern said in the morning forecast today: “On Thursday there’s some question marks about how hot it will get in the east of England.
“Anywhere between 28C and 32C depending on how quickly cooler air returns towards the west, associated with a front that brings some spells of showers.
“And it will certainly cool down towards the north west as the breeze picks up and frequent showers arrive.”

Tuesday June 25
A fine and sunny day with temperatures possibly reaching 24 to 26 degrees. Light winds.
Wednesday June 26
Likely seeing hotter temperatures on Wednesday, 25 to 27 degrees, as the sunny weather continues. Light winds.
Thursday June 27 to Saturday June 29
A cold front will progress southeastwards across Somerset on Thursday afternoon bringing cloudier and slightly breezier conditions through the day and possibly some light rain in the afternoon.
Friday and Saturday are likely to be dry days with sunny spells and light winds, although there is some uncertainty still and so the odd shower is possible.
Temperatures throughout this period around or slightly above average with highs of 21C.
Long range
With high pressure building again in the Atlantic, further settled and mainly fine weather can be expected with close to average temperatures into next week.
