Toto Wolff has revealed Mercedes has called in police to investigate the architect of a malicious email claiming Lewis Hamilton is being sabotaged this season.
The Austrian addressed those behind the anonymous email, distributed to senior F1 and FIA officials, team principles and senior media – including RacingNews365 – the day after the Canadian Grand Prix, as well as confirming the matter was now in the hands of the police.

Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes dropped a broad hint they are firmly in the mix for Spanish Grand Prix honours this weekend after the seven-time F1 champion posted the fastest time in Friday practice.
Following a steam of updates delivered on the car at each race from the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix onwards, Mercedes thrust themselves back towards the front of the grid in Canada where George Russell scored pole position.

Red Bull deliver ominous warning as Hamilton threat dismissed
Red Bull advisor Dr. Helmut Marko has fired an ominous warning to its rivals following Friday at the Spanish Grand Prix, and has also dismissed Lewis Hamilton as a serious threat.
Lewis Hamilton was the quickest driver on Friday whilst Max Verstappen could only set the fifth-fastest time on the opening day at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya; however, the reigning world champion still looked very threatening.

Leclerc has ‘clear vision’ after ‘horrendous’ early Spanish show
Charles Leclerc has dismissed concerns he faces a tricky Spanish Grand Prix weekend after initially describing his Ferrari in first practice as “horrendous”.
Leclerc was left languishing in 11th position after FP1, 1.2s behind pacesetter Lando Norris in his McLaren, and over eight-tenths adrift of team-mate Carlos Sainz who finished third quickest.
