Meghan Markle has made a stunning return to social media with her first post on Instagram in several years.
The Duchess of Sussex has posted a video on her page, showing her running along a beach barefoot towards the sea.
She then stops, before writing “2025” in the sand with her finger in apparent homage to the New Year.
The smiling mum-of-two then runs back towards the camera.
In her first post, under the handle @meghan, the duchess opted to share a personal reel, which PEOPLE understands was captured by her husband, Prince Harry.
The short clip, which was shared to her 151,000 followers, was reportedly filmed near their home in Montecito where they live with their son Prince Archie and their daughter Princess Lilibet.
Wearing all white and running on the beach, Meghan writes “2025” with her index finger in the sand before laughing and running back off camera.
Marking her return back to Instagram the duchess has also updated its profile picture to a black-and-white shot of herself smiling and wearing and elegant white dress.
Meghan’s bio simply reads “Meghan, Duchess of Sussex”.
In the build up to her wedding to Prince Harry in 2018, the former actress deactivated her Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts and just a year prior, deleted her personal blog, The Tig.
A Kensington Palace source said at the time: “Ms Markle is grateful to everyone who has followed her social media accounts over the years, however as she has not used them for some time she has taken the decision to close them.”
In 2020, Meghan and Harry stopped posting to their Sussex Royal Instagram and Twitter accounts.
