McDonald’s axes ‘the best thing they have ever done’ and replaces it with new menu item

Must read

McDonald’s is introducing a new iced coffee drink tomorrow, June 26, however, it will replace a beloved menu item.

Fans of the fast food restaurant company will be able to get their hands on a regular Oreo Frappe for £3.09, while a large one will set coffee lovers back £3.39.

The sweet drink will hit the menu across all UK and Republic of Ireland locations until Tuesday, September 3.

It will take the place of the Biscoff Frappe, which will likely sadden fans. According to X users, the Biscoff Frappe is one of the best things the fast food restaurant has to offer.

One McDonald’s enthusiast wrote on social media: “Just sacked off work to get the Biscoff Frappe because I’ve tried five bl**dy times and it’s never been available.”

The delighted customer added: “And holy sh*t, it’s probably the best thing McDonald’s has ever done.”

Another said: “UK McDonald’s never gets anything good, [the] only remotely good thing we got was the Biscoff Frappe.”

A third stated: “The feeling of finding a McDonald’s that actually has the Biscoff Frappe hits different.”

One happy customer said: “How amazing is McDonald’s Biscoff Frappe.” A fellow foodie replied: “They’re elite! Even better with a shot of espresso in it.”

One Biscoff fan took to social media lamenting that the popular drink will be gone in just days, pairing the statement with a broken heart emoji.

Nevertheless, McDonald’s fans will likely love its replacement, the Oreo Frappe, too.

McDonald’s described it as “a vanilla flavour base blended with ice and Oreo pieces, topped with cream and Oreo pieces”. The restaurant added that it is “the perfect sweet drink to cool down with this summer”.

McDonald’s concluded: “Could it be even more popular than the Biscoff Frappe?”

Some coffee connoisseurs are already excited to try the latest concoction. Fans said they “definitely” have to try the new product.

Others would have rather the Biscoff Frappe stuck around, saying they wish both sweet drinks could take their place on the McDonald’s menu.
