Marrickville: Woman and man stabbed outside school in Sydney’s inner west

A man has been arrested after a woman and a man were both stabbed in Sydney‘s inner west.

Paramedics were called to Sydenham Road in Marrickville just before 6pm, where they found the two injured people near Marrickville High School.

A 25-year-old man was found with stab wounds to his neck, face, head and back while a 55-year-old woman had been knifed in the throat.

The man was seen with blood pouring from his head as he was taken to an ambulance.

He is now fighting for life at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, where the woman is in a serious condition.

A 22-year-old man known to both of the injured people was arrested at the scene and is assisting police with their inquiries.
