The supermarket said: “Marks & Spencer is recalling Chocolate Cornflake Mini Bites due to the undeclared presence of hazelnut, oats and wheat flour in a small number of packs.

“Please do not consume this product if you have an allergy or intolerance to hazelnut, oats or wheat flour.
“If you wish to exchange the product, you can return it to your nearest store where a full refund will be given. Only the displayed date codes are impacted.
“No other M&S products are affected. We apologise to our customers for any inconvenience caused. For more information contact us on 0333 014 8555.”
It added: “Customer safety is of paramount importance to Marks & Spencer and we take all issues regarding the production of our foods extremely seriously.”
Nut, oat and wheat flour allergies can be extremely dangerous. Symptoms can include hives, sneezing, itching throat and mouth and nausea.
In some cases, these allergies can be fatal, so customers are asked to check their packs and to return affected batches.

“The decision has been taken due to a risk of a possible presence of salmonella.
“No other Al’Fez products, date codes or best before dates are affected. If you have one of the products detailed above, please return it to the store for a full refund. You do not need a receipt.
