Manchester United are under no pressure to sell any players before the June 30 ‘deadline’ for Premier League clubs to comply with the profitability and sustainability rules.
United sources insist they have managed their finances to ensure compliance and the club does not anticipate any rushed outgoings this week.
Some Premier League clubs have discussed trading players this month amid accusations they are exploiting a loophole in the PSR rules.
Aston Villa signed Everton academy graduate Lewis Dobbin last week while Tim Iroegbunam headed in the opposite direction. Dobbin, 21, played 15 times for Everton last term and Iroegbunam, 20, made 15 appearances for Villa. Both commanded fees of £9million.
Villa and Chelsea have also been in discussions about homegrown players Omari Kellyman and Ian Maatsen. Chelsea left back Maatsen, 22, spent last season on loan at Borussia Dortmund and is reputedly valued at £37.5m.

Newcastle and Everton have also reputedly discussed the possible trades of Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Yankuba Minteh. Homegrown sales represent a pure profit under PSR.
United are open to selling several squad members this summer, with Jadon Sancho and Mason Greenwood at the front of the queue to lead the outgoings.
Victor Lindelof, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Hannibal Mejbri and Donny van de Beek are also for sale as they are out of contract next year. Mejbri and Van de Beek’s loans to Sevilla and Eintracht Frankfurt in January included options to buy.
Facundo Pellistri is available for transfer after a third spell on loan in La Liga with Granada. Pellistri’s deal expires in 2025 but includes the option of an additional year and the 22-year-old Uruguay international represents resale value.
Scott McTominay, Harry Maguire and Amad’s contracts expire in 2025 but include a plus-one option.
