Manchester United are reportedly willing to listen to offers for Marcus Rashford this summer.
The club decided to keep manager Erik ten Hag in charge following a performance review and that has had implications for Rashford’s situation, according to The Sun.
United are now said to be open to cashing in on the forward, whose contract expires in 2028.
They had placed an £80m valuation on their No 10 but have accepted they may have to lower that following his drop in form last season.
Coming off the back of his most prolific campaign to date at club level in 2022-23, Rashford failed to maintain his goalscoring form.
Across 43 appearances in all competitions, the 26-year-old managed just eight goals, with his behaviour off the pitch only further damaging his reputation at the club.
The report claims that Rashford and Ten Hag were ‘barely on speaking terms’ come the end of the season after the Englishman missed training following a night out in Belfast.
Rashford had previously received a warning from Ten Hag after he was seen out partying following a derby day trashing by Man City earlier in the season.
The 26-year-old was left out of the squad for the game that followed the Belfast incident but Ten Hag felt he had no choice but to continue to use the forward in the final months of the season.
However, their relationship is said to have been ‘shattered’ and it now looks as if there may be no way back.
Reports towards the end of the season claimed PSG had earmarked Rashford as a potential replacement for their departing talisman Kylian Mbappe, having previously made attempts to sign the England international.
However, Rashford is said to be determined to stay at Old Trafford this summer and acknowledged that his performances fell below par in Erik ten Hag’s second season at the club.
Rashford’s poor club form last season also saw him left out of Gareth Southgate’s England squad for Euro 2024.
The decision marked the first time Rashford had missed a major tournament for the Three Lions in his senior career, having featured in Roy Hodgson’s squad at the 2016 Euros in France aged just 18.
Southgate’s tactics have come under heavy criticism with his side struggling to create chances, and Rashford’s brother and agent, Dwaine Maynard, took to social media to claim Rashford could have been England’s attacking impetus.
