Apart from incomings, there are outgoings on Manchester United’s agenda due to the club’s meagre budget which requires the club to sell players in order to raise funds.
Willy Kambwala and Donny van de Beek have been sold while there are plans to move on experienced stars like Casemiro, Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire.
One player who is very much in demand is Scott McTominay with quite a few Premier League clubs chasing his signature though West Ham seem to have removed themselves from the equation as per what The Peoples Person had relayed earlier.
Turkish giants Galatasaray have been linked with a swoop for the academy graduate who United had priced at £40 million last summer. Following his goalscoring exploits last season, that price is certainly not coming down anytime soon.
McTominay’s future
As reported by Haber Sarı Kırmızı, Gala are eyeing a midfielder and right-back with Aaron Wan-Bissaka among their targets. But a move for the former Crystal Palace man has been ruled out while negotiations are expected to continue with United for the Scottish international.
“Right now, if we wanted to finish, there are right-center and right-back. Believe me, we have options if we wanted to, but we haven’t said yes to anyone yet because we want to learn the conditions about all of them and make a decision.”
“Right back and number 8, I think it will be difficult for them to make it to this camp, but they will make it to the second camp.”
“McTominay’s transfer fee is being discussed. Pierre-Emile Højbjerg is a good player, he has many suitors, he wants to see all options. Negotiations are ongoing for McTominay and Doue. Bissaka is not our priority,” Galatasaray board member Ibrahim Hatipoglu was quoted as saying.
The Manchester Evening News have now added that Galatasaray had launched a couple of initial bids for the academy graduate and all of them were rejected by the Red Devils.
Gala’s bid
“Manchester United are understood to have rejected early bids for Scott McTominay amid mounting interest in the midfielder.
“McTominay, 27, is out of contract next year but United have the option of an additional year and the club regards McTominay as an important squad member with high value.
“Galatasaray have expressed interest in McTominay but it is doubtful any Turkish club could get near United’s valuation.”
It is unlikely that the Turkish club can afford to acquire McTominay while also paying his significant wages. United are not keen to sell currently as they have other players who need to be moved on first.
