The Red Devils full-back was a surprise inclusion in Gareth Southgate‘s squad for the tournament given a hamstring injury has seen him absent since February.

Southgate, however, deemed Shaw worth the gamble, with Kieran Trippier starting in every game of the tournament so far at left-back.

However, against Switzerland and Netherlands in the last two rounds, he has entered the fray off the substitutes bench.

talkSPORT understands that Shaw will once again be on the bench for the Euro 2024 final.

But, it’s likely he could well see action again in the Olympiastadion.

Ratcliffe has only been a partial owner at Manchester United since his 25 per cent purchase went through in February.

He clearly, though, knows all about Shaw’s injury troubles and offered a quip when asked to give a rallying cry to the England squad ahead of the final.

“All the very best of luck on Sunday and I sincerely hope you’re successful,” he told BBC Sport.

But his big message was saved until last after a few more celebrity fans had their say.

“Luke, please don’t pull your hamstring again,” Ratcliffe added.
