Madonna’s younger brother has passed away at the age of 64.
According to a report by The Independent, Christopher Ciccone, who played key role in shaping Madonna’s career, died at the age of 63 after battling cancer.
The outlet reported that the news of his passing was confirmed to TMZ by his representative.
The American artist has helped Madonna in her career especially during the iconic singer’s rise to fame in 1980s and 1990s.
He began as her personal assistant and stylist before becoming the artistic director for several of her world tours.
His work with Madonna helped create memorable performances, including the famous Blond Ambition tour.
The duo’s relationship faced difficulties, especially after the release of Christopher’s 2008 memoir, Life with My Sister Madonna.
However, several outlets have reported that Christopher hinted at a reconciliation in 2012, expressing his pride in Madonna’s achievements.
It is worth mentioning that the death of Christopher comes just weeks after tragic passing of their stepmother, Joan Clare Ciccone. She passed away on September 24 after battling cancer.
